The Lug Thread Detective® is the most useful and necessary tool in any mechanic's tool box, tire shop, automotive repair shop, and in every gearhead’s garage. The Thread Detective® is a precise, portable and easy-to-use thread identifier for nuts, bolts, tapped holes, mounted or affixed studs, including lug nuts and wheel bolts. Each individual steel identifier is permanently laser etched with the thread size and features an internal female threaded hole accompanied by a male threaded stud on the opposing end. The inch and metric identifers are simple to differentiate as the inch stand-offs are seperated by red impact resistant dividers and the metric with blue. The gliding identifiers are strung onto an extra-long cable for easy separation.

The All-In-One Thread Detective® is a precise and easy-to-use thread identifier for both nuts and bolts. This unit contains inch and metric strands from the mini, standard and jumbo versions from the Thread Detective® line. It is especially well suited for distinguishing between similar inch and metric threads. Thread Detectives® are made up of precision CNC identifiers in the most common thread pitches strung on a wire lanyard. Permanent, easy to read size markings won’t peel off and are chemical resistant tested and approved. Shatterproof, color coded gauge dividers allow recognition between inch and metric strands at a glance. Our Thread Detectives are equipped with a 3-3/8 (85 mm) ruler for measuring stud lengths. The ruler can be printed with your company or customer's information for promotional use. For your convenience we provide extra long wire rope for those hard to reach places, as well as loops on each end for convenient hanging.
